Requirements:

  1. Your brand needs to be registered with Amazon Brand Registry
  2. You will need the admin login or be a registered agent on the account to submit any claims against sellers, listings, or photos.

Requirements:

  1. Have the ASIN(s) ready of the product you would like to search
  2. Know the seller(s) name(s) you are going to be filing a claim against
  3. Log into Amazon Brand Registry (www.brandregistry.amazon.com)
  4. Upper right under the “Support” tab, click on “Contact Brand Support”
  5. Left hand menu, click on “Report an Intellectual Property (IP) violation
  6. A menu will appear on the right, click “Report a violation tool”
    1.  A new page will load
  7. Make sure you are in the Amazon US marketplace
  8. Input the ASIN(s) in the search bar next to the marketplace you would like to file a claim on
  9. Click “Search
    1. If the ASIN exists, it will show up to the right
  10. There are three options for filing a claim:
    1. THE ENTIRE ASIN: The checkbox next to the ASIN will flag the entire item, all sellers, and images
      1. DO NOT choose this option if you are a seller on Amazon
    2. THE IMAGES: When you click on “Show all images”, you can submit claims against individual images
    3.  THE SELLERS: When you click on “Show offers”, you can submit claims against individual sellers
      1. 99% of the time, this is the area you will chooses
  11. After you have expanded the sellers, check the box next to the sellers you want to file a claim against
  12. In the upper right, there is a dropdown box where you can choose from three options
    1. Copyright infringement
    2. Trademark infringement
    3. Patent infringement
  13. Choose “Trademark infringement” to get a seller removed if you do not know where they got the product from, or you believe it is counterfeit
  14. After clicking on “Trademark infringement” it will load a new page
  15. Click in the radial option “a product is counterfeit”
  16. Your brand name will populate below
  17. In the dialog box below your brand name, choose the trademark number associated with your brand
    1. A list of options will be presented for you. If you only have one brand name registered, there will only be one option
  18. Click “yes” or “no” if you have or have not bought one of the products to determine if it is a counterfeit product
    1. It is not required you buy a potential counterfeit product to submit these claims
    2. If you choose yes, you will need the order number for that order
    3. In the dialog box asking for more information simply enter the following:
      1.  “We have identified this product as counterfeit. It is using our trademark number (enter trademark number) on the product/packaging. To ensure Amazon customers are receiving authentic (enter brand name) goods, please remove these seller(s) from this listing.”
    4. Input your Company Name or First and Last name
  19. Click Submit
